Entomias quadrivittatus July 4 2 mi E Pine Flat, Tulare Co. Calif. Shot one individual yesterday afternoon. Favoral area - Sierra Nevada Life zone - Transition. Habitat. - This coniferous forest which it strata to the ground, and sub-arboreal areas. The particular individual was shot from a foot fir tree (15 ft?) July 6 Park Meadow, 6400 ft. Tulare Co. Calif. One individual caught in net trap. Favoral area - Sierra Nevada. Life zone - Canadian. Habitat. - Throughout the fir and yellow pine forests of this locality. They do not appear to come into the dodge-pine pine forests. They apparently prefer forests of mixed size with small little (150?). July 10 Long Meadow, Tulare Co. Calif. Caught, young. Favoral area - Sierra Nevada. Life zone - Transition. Habitat. - This individual was caught at the outer edge of the meadow in a willow thicket.
