Richardson 34 Cutonias inoensis 28 Upper Funston Meadow Kern Canyon Kern Co., California. 6800 ft. One of the things that Mr. Dision shot this morning. The locality in which they were taken is about 1/2 mi below the Kern River Golf Springs on the east bank near the switchbacks. The habitat is the montezuma brush which covers a boulder and sand type of alluvial fan. The scattered Yellow Pine and Juniper trees as well as the boulder gulch are used as refuge places. The seeds of the Montezuma berries were found in the club perch of one of the chismurkas. 29 An individual taken from the rim of the canyon along the Martin Lake trail. elev 8500 ft. Habitat was the Montezuma and large rock combination There were 10 or more seed of the Montezuma in the club pouch.
