July 17 Calloispermophilus hysodeirus. July 7 Park Meadow, 6400 ft. Tulare Co. Calif. One individual caught this evening in a rat trap. Favoral area - Sierra Nevada. diff-zone - Canadian Habitat - In open or semi-open, scattered areas. Dwelling in about the sides of fallen logs. July 17 Zimi S Mineral King, 7850 ft. Tulare Co. Calif. Two individuals caught about 6 a.m. this morning in rat traps. Favoral area - Sierra Nevada. diff-zone - Canadian. Habitat - Dwells in poor burrows beneath rocks or about fallen logs. They often travel long (200 yd) to meadow or other feeding ground. July 17 South Fork Forewell Res. Tulare Co. Calif. Three individuals shot during a morning hunt in this area. Favoral area - Sierra Nevada diff-zone - Hudsonian Habitat - About the small rocky cliffs. This animal is found living 1000 ft above timber line. The prerequisites for existence seem to be coarse (dry) rock
