W.B. Richardson 1934 Pipistrellus hesperus July 4 2pm. C Farm Flat, Yuba Co. Calif. One individual shot last evening. Found area - Sierra Nevada. di zone - Transition. habitat - About the inter growth of open coniferous forest. The individual was taken while flying about 30 ft off of the ground over a marginal thicket surrounded by small cedar and redwood (small redwoods. July 12 4pm. SC Portwill, 550ft. Yuba Co. Calif. Five individual caught in a fog net. Found area - Sierra Foothills. di zone - Upper Sonoma (low point) habitat - Beneath the west facing shutters of an adobe home. There is apparently only one colony about the here as compared to the four or five of last year. They were only adult & older. The other, *** equally divided as it seems were about 3/4 grown young. 1937 Jul 21, 1937. 3pm. C Portwill, 500ft. Yuba Co. Calif. One individual found [und this morning sequestered behind an exfoliated granite slab. There were numerous bat colonies in the vicinity but apparently
