B. Richardson 1936 Sorex July 6 Parker Meadow, 6400 ft. Tulpe Co. Calif. Caught 1 in the 115 mm traps. Faunal area - Sierra Nevada. Habitat - Canadian. Habitat - Along a stream which was thickly clothed with a tall (12-14") sedge grass. July 15 1/2 mi. S Manuel Spring, 7850 ft. Tulare Co. Calif. Caught 2 today. Faunal area - Sierra Nevada. Habitat - Canadian. Habitat - In the midst of the willow thickets in a grassy meadow. The traps were set in the grass under the edge of the willows. July 20 Big Meadow, 7660 ft. Tulare Co. Calif. None from catch. Faunal area - Sierra Nevada. Habitat - Canadian. Habitat - Under stream willow when the grass is thin or wanting and there is considerable litter (lawn) from the willow. July 21 Another 3x's labor today in the same type of habitat. July 24 Wilson G., 3 1/2 mi. S 20 Nelson, 5600 ft. Tulare Co. Calif. My catch included. Faunal area - Sierra Nevada.
