XY back into the center of the yard. This disturbance apparently upset sequence, & flashes at XY again, who leaves to NE over Bryan house. I had been chipping - but irregularly - never full songs. April 19. - Regrettably, I trapped and killed. a second towhee was nearby, walking along fence top - I thought it was the 2 - never looked at trapped bird, as I thought it was still another by XY. Hen totally defatthered, tail feathers truncated. April 28. Unlike the 19th, area quiet - towhees from NE & SW occasionally visiting. No more local chipping or week singing. April 30. XY now chipping in the area regularly, with them morning and evening on the 29th. Also present today I almost caught it!
