Local F, with which this bird had been associating, began chipping within minutes of the removal of this bird.
29 April Local lone, settled pair, recently a F in view of all removals recorded above, attending one newly fledged juvenile. No other young present, no other adult; on NE, garden side of house.
2-4 May One towhee, evidently the same F, present along front, near and lawn side of house singing intermittently - sometimes from high perch, other times as she moved thru bushes foraging, chipping owned weaker than that of M's, ending in disorganized weak manner. On the 4th, she ended the song with a series mixed whiny notes similar to those of the pair reinforcement sequence.
4-5 May Single juvenile still present.
7 May Local F removed. Juvenile present
13 ' juveniles present. Almost fully grown, foraging independently, at least part of the time.
