Pipilo fuscus 23 March Two pairs near house; one taken today, other member of pair chipping persistently through litter past 7 day [also singing] 24th. 23 March ♀ Pipilo Ova to 1mm. 50.8gms. No fat; skull all layered. 29 march ♀ P. p. i. o 1st-year. Ova to 1mm. 50.5 No fat; Skull all-layerned. 31 March New individual present; pair giving re-inforcement note this a.m. Male calling & assuming upright stand, as he was observed to do with individual taken on 29th. 3 April ♀ Pipilo 1st year. Ova to 1.5mm. 51.1 No fat Skull all-layerned? Taken early morning. 3 April ♂ Pipilo - 1st year, enlarged cloaca. banded Red on L leg! FWS 49-208 on R leg. Remained on area (our east yard + Mrs A's property) throughout day. Uses roof crest of Mrs A's house to chip from intermittently. 4-April Banded & associating with new bird.
