Oct. 24. 9:30 a.m. - 11:00 - Buds observed from sharp U-turn near mouth to horse coral, along south side: Cooper Hawk, 1 Red-tailed Hawk, 1 over fields to south. Sparrow Hawk, 1 California Quail, several. Killdeer, 1 on north slope. Anna Hummingbird, 3; male in willow draw calling and diving. Flicker, 3 Hairy Woodpecker, 1 Black Phoebe, 1 near Willow Draw. Steller Jay, 3 California Jays, 4 Plain Tit, 1 Bush-tit, small flock Red-breasted Nuthatch, 1 Wren-tit, 6 Bewick Wren, 3 Narrow-tailed Thrush, 4 Golden-crowned Kinglet, 1 Ruby-crowned Kinglet, 5 Meadowlark, flock of 4+ above willow draw.
