began to hatch today.
16 July Nest removed & destroyed. Pair
remains nearby,
22 July Pair still present.
One peculiarity of this pair was that
when the F was by the nest, the D perched
on a gutter at the corner of the house
or in an oak near the nest and
sent the chip-not sequence which
serves as song among unmated D's,

At SW corner L&B this morning
there was an adult with a food-calling
fledgling following it. Tail & bill
seemed full grown.
