Journal Y. Leite 1996 August 2 - Fazenda Bolandeira, 10 km S Una, Bahia, 15°21'S 39°00'W. (Yuri Leite, Leonora Costa, Raquel Moura & Luiz Paulo Pinto). This farm (4,471 ha) has mainly cocoa and "seringa" (tree that produces latex) plantations. There are two main native areas: a 900 ha forest to the west and another 900 ha area to the east com- posed by "manguezais", "restingas", "campo sujo" (a very strange formation for this area) and another forest fragment. The eastern portion of the farm is by the ocean, so the elevation is around 0 m. The ele- vation in the western part is about 80 m. The owner of the farm is Henrique Brener, who lives in São Paulo, and the manager is Alberto Albagli, who lives in Ilhéus. Sérgio is the administrator and lives in the farm. Moisés and his wife are the housekeepers in the house we stayed. There are more than 150 employees working and living in the farm. The phone/ fax of the office is (073) 236-2135. We set four trap lines: ① "Cu3cu3" (900 ha forest): 20 stations (2 traps/station - sherman/Tomahawk - one on the ground, the other in trees) + 8 stations with 2 victor on the ground in each. + 10 Tomahawks on plataformas (~6 m) using the structures built by Cristina Alves and luiz
