"Specimen Catalogue" Information Regarding (P.2). Tom Larson Consequently, this proof-read copy of the original is in actuality not only as accurate and serviceable as the original, but in many cases it is more serviceable. This catalogue starting with No. 1543 thru No. 2007, was copied by J.H. Severa from Larson's original during Aug. 1951, the copy being made as identical as possible with respect to data but in the M.V.Z. style of arrangement and again using brackets to include locality information not originally included by T.L. but known to be correct based on entries elsewhere in his notebook, or as taken from 1951 National Geographic maps. No catalogue for T.L.'s original Nos. 2008-2071 had been received from T.L. as of August 9, 1951 so we have no record of these 64 specimens yet (except that a partial catalogue could be made up, if necessary, from the specimen labels on those specimens received from T.L. by M.V.Z.) The catalogue for T.L. numbers 2072 through 2551 inclusive was supplied to us by Larson and is undoubtedly the original record of these specimens. If for any reason these do not stay at M.V.Z. they should be replaced by a proof-read copy. T.L.'s Catalogue for specimen No. 2552 through his last African specimen no. (at least thru No. 4292, which is the highest # of a specimen received by M.V.Z. to date) had not been received as of Aug. 9, 1951. J.Harold Severa Aug. 9, 1951.
