Stebbins, R. 1963 Draco Kapar Rd., 4 1/2 mi. NW Kling, Selangor, Malaya Feb. 9 but was unable to get one in flight. Finally despairing of noosing them we resorted to the use of slingshots. After firing perhaps 75 times I hit one, damaging its head and popping out an eye. The lizard fell directly downward, with one wing extended, almost on me as I stood in tall grass at the base of the tree. The animal had been at a height of about 40 ft. The time was around 4:00 p.m. and it was getting so overcast that it was difficult to get pictures even with Kodachrome II. Shortly afterward it began to rain. The wings fold down along the sides, the largest patagium just overlapping the base of the hind legs.
