Elephants are in Madras & Mysore Kerala has elephants, tegris, and reptiles and amphibians. Lizards occur in Gujarat - in western India. No tegristine. Rhinoceros are in Assam foothills of Himalayas. Sankarachari is a cell biologist and protozoologist. He is also Dean of the Faculty of Science and Secretary of the National Institutes of Science in India. The latter corresponds to the Royal Academy or the National Academy of Sciences in U.S.
