Broth 1987 Truth or Consequences to Sun Mateo Mt's, NM June 1 which opened up to prayer juniper, (cont'd) finally to sagebrush & creosote in the lower valley at Tm C, I stayed in a motel at Tm C (the "Villa" - $12 room - #1) next to a laundromat where I cleaned up the clothes, etc. The left rear tire was leaking slowly, so I bought a foot air pump at the Checker Auto. Also washed the truck at a spray-type car wash. June 2 The morning at Tm C was bright and sunny, and I left there at about 7:00 am to drive to the San Mateo mountains in Socorro County -- mainly just to hide away god stuff skins. I took the exit off of Interstate 25 that led to 52 going west, then turned right off of 52 to 142 N. At Monticello, New Mexico, I took the northbound road to the mountains. This road was poor and rocky, winding up canyons that were in juniper/sagebrush habitat. I got into ponderosa pine at about 7000 ft, and drove
