1-6rots 1986 journal 109 weather, flicker, pine siskin, violet- green swallow, and goshawk the night was fair and cold -- to below freezing (as each night here so far.) 7Jne The morning was mostly clear. Some crossbills were encountered, but only in the very early morning. All of the encounters are logged on tape but no yes, 66B. At first, only a pair and a lone bird flew over, not to be lured close. Then, a flock of six came in -- all to fly off but a single ?, who was recorded pre- capture and then shot. [yikes, checking back I have just found that I have mis-numbered the field catalog. If 408 was JGG 305, then all the following - up to 313, should actually have +1 added to the collector number -- change this, then, on all nine tubes from 365-313!] [also, #408 should be JGG 305, not 304!] After this ? was obtained I waited around the rest of the morning at camp. No crossbills were encountered. I then packed up camp and headed into Leadville,
