white Mountains of Arizona
26 May the road to Reservation Lake. This
road wound through the very open
grassy plain, with sparse ponderosa
pines, spruces & firs, and rarer
LIMBER pines along the edges. The
limber pine had some green cones on
most trees. The spruces & ponderosa
pines were very sparse of cones --
most had nothing at all. I stopped
on a side branch off the road to
Reservation Lake and set up the net along
a stream for about 3-4 hours.
