Aug 5 calling. Many of the smaller birds were
captured in the one 5m net I
set up, and were generally a
nuisance to always get out of the net.
No other crossbills were heard until 2:22
when a lone ♂ (Type 5?) crossbill was
captured. Bird activity was generally quiet
after noon, and there were thunder
showers between 12:00 and 2:00. It then
cleared up and was sunny and breezy.
