60th 1965 journal 29. May 22 Long Park, Coronado Natl Forest, Cochise Co., Az I got up @ daylight (5:15) and set up two nets using 305 and 273 as decoys. ROAD LONG PARK <-- N H 305 trail -- camped here CK 273 Bird 298 (the 3rd and only other decoy) was put on top of the truck in camp. No sign of crossbills all morning, Kathy and I hiked down the trail .7 mi., then turned left and went .25 mi. to Tub Springs -- used playbades along the way and brought 298 alone. -- no sign of crossbills. other birds seen this morning -- Yellow-eyed junco Red faced warbler warbling vireo Y-r. Warbler B.C. Kinglet Mexican Chickadee Robin Henrit Thrush Pine Siskin Barred-tailed Pigeon Western Bluebird Western Flycatcher thirty woodpecker (in net - go) Pygmy Nuthatch Rob Wuthatch Wb Wuthatch (in net - go)
