A flock of 44 was present in the
southern half of Footprint
Lake.
8 August Barrow, Alaska
Flock seen on a pond at Gostino Ridge.
13 Aug - Small flocks seen in Central
Marsh. Most were immature.
15 Aug - None were in Footprint Lake, but
a flock of 16 was seen just
west? The lake was too low.
22 Aug - Flocks of 20-30 are still present
in Central Marsh, but the
birds are generally not very
common (W. J. Mahu).
25 Aug: A group of 12 seen on the ponds
west of Best Logan.
30 Aug Three birds seen together in Central
Marsh.
