Holmes, R. 1959 Limonodromus scolopaceus 7 August Barrow, Alaska One seen between Skpik Slough and Woblechlog's Slough feeding in soft mud with other sandpipers. 18 August Barrow, Alaska A flock of 11 was present on the south- end of Freshwater lagoon. They were feeding in the shallow ponds just 2 feet from the lagoon. They were all moulting (body). No wing molt was noted. 19 August Barrow, Alaska 150 were present on Footprint lake feeding among lot's sandpipers. They were also moulting the body plumage but not the wings. Four birds were collected. 21 August Barrow, Alaska Small groups of 10-15 birds were feeding among the flooded ponds in the so. half Footprint lake. A total of 200 birds was present. 23 August Barrow, Alaska Small group of 10-15 birds were seen again at Footprint; fewer less birds were seen too, with an estimated total of 100 being present.
