Holmes, R. 1960 Mustela marosa 11 July Barrow, Alaska A weasel den found on the beach ridge in the middle of Pitelka's Plot, yesterday. Today when it was visited, only one individual was seen photographed (see journal for description). 27 July - At least 1 weasel was still present at the mound. It is hard to estimate the average effect of predation since the burrows are quite deep. The animals, living however, come out to take a look whenever we are placed near the mound. Another den was reported by Britton. It is located in Britton's Area (see Mahr for details). 2 Aug - No weasels seen at the mound on the beach ridge.
