4 June Barrow, Alaska
Local pockets of lemmings were found - on
sund shore / Wohlischlag + in centers
Mard - 2 driving to Doupik & E (saloy -
swt 14 animals for weasel. Many are
still little or no cutting but other
are improved. - also predatorsey-
good at Nestruie.
5 Jun. Sign good on Uthi's Bluff - but elsewhere
have not much evidence [Harry
Browe report lemmings abundant south of the
Village - altho only a few were seen at
Meads River where he visited last week].
8 June Swat 2x 4pm near Atass, plus
also the raised mounts to the south /
of building. No new signs are
noted - or saw - most are not
new - nor - not doubtably seen
during the winter.
10 June Most extensive cuttings so far - found in Uathtree
where all 3 (No troughs) have been heavily
worked by lemmings. - but only 1 seen.
Also - several large (20 x 40') patches of cut
grass is present - Uthi's bluffs. 16
Workmen checked today with no evidence
of predation - motolik Iyeng, Jr.
11 June 5 seen on or near bead ridge. Predators have
decreased in last few days.
