17 June Barrow, Alaska
That there are more nests this year than last -
which seems absurd. If this is to
cae, the animals must have
lived for awhile under the snow.
The animals from the village have stocked off,
so apparently they are going out there too.
20 June Barrow -> Skroavik, Alaska
One seen near Voth's area, as we headed
for Skroavik; it was caught + failed - 5me
mullen is at Pitt Point since we were
just heading south to the lake.
24 June Barrow, Alaska
activity is still poor - very little fresh
working has been detected because of
difficulties in separating seven-day old pellets
from yr. old pellets. Predator activity has
declined. No Pomerians were seen today -
but there were a few long-t. t. p. toposites
in the vicinity. A fox was seen hunting
near Oolipik Slough.
24 July Barrow, Alaska

have been reported (see FAP-JDS)
Of 14 weasel nests in the B.R.- 210 acre length -
5 hook weasel sign.
