Holmes, R. 1960 Lemmus 4 July Skroavik, Alaska areas a The trap/ polygon have been from t chewed up so that the surface ground is in shambles. It is no words that The mice population is disturbed by The lemming's activities. 6 July Barrow, Alaska. Reynolds, Warner + I completed a lemming census today which was started last evening. This was two 1000 'x 58' plots adjacent to Traphin 7 and 8. The lake was similar to the trap lake & has been re-circulated by Reynolds. 9 July Skroavik, Alaska While running The plat last evening + today, it was noted that numerous death + partially eaten / tumming carcass can now be found. I could guess that in my wandering on the 108 other I have seen 30-40 carcasses. Of course, there are many & must have mines. There are apparently pega hills where The mice have eaten just the viscera or somewhere a part of the body.
