3 July Barrow, Alaska
1115-1120- checked nest near Wobbleblog
- 2 was still incubating. She did not
flour until 12:00 6' from the nest - at
this time - she flew up in front of my face - hovering 3-4'. If I moved
giving the loud - annoyed squealing
sounds. As I walked off - she
-gave - nodut - run or descent
previous - but the hen would
fly 6-10' in and keep ahead
of me.
4 July 2000 - I not - nest & was not seen
during 5 minutes were - but egg
were there & warm - so she probably
was off feeding.
6 July 1400. & was sitting - nest - she was not disturbed
8 July 1100. Nest #2 - Gone - no eggs 1 & younger
eggs. Returned at 1402 - walked around
Nearee - but nothing! With the number
I jagan around (Parasite < 6-7) -
The chances for predator being the
reason for the loss is great. And I
doubt they would have hatched by
now. Next cup not no eggs & egg too
young.
