Holmes,R 1959 Plectroptera nivalis 8. 5 August Barrow, Alaska About 16 were present along the road adjacent to freshwater logjam. They were flying back and forth between the logjam & the dumps. 11 August Pitt Point, Alaska A few are seen around the base. 15 August Pitt Point, Alaska Around the base, is the only place where these birds are now seen. There seems to be the remain (a family) group which stay around in the area. No others are seen. 20 August Barrow, Alaska Very few have been noted during the last 2 days here at Barrow. 3 were seen near freshwater logjam this evening. 24 August Barrow, Alaska 3 seen along freshwater logjam and 2 seen behind API. 26 August Barrow, Alaska Several seen around the base and among the dump. None have been seen out a fly tundra away from these areas.
