Holme, R. 1959 Calcaires Happticus 17. 14 August Pitt Point, Alaska activities and surface are not seen as often. Fewer were caught in the tundra, also. 16 August Pitt Point, Alaska A few of these birds were noted today, but not like they were seen the first day or two. Also fewer were caught on the trap lines during the last 4 days. 19 August Barrow, Alaska These birds are present in small numbers. They seem to be scattered over the tundra; no concentration have been seen. 21 August Barrow, Alaska A few small groups seen the bottom of Fortprint Lake. These were feeding among the drift areas at the lake bottom (among the mussel, etc.). Very few were seen in the tundra. 24 August Barrow, Alaska Very few Longspurs have been noted in the Central Marsh- Beach Ridge Area. Occasionally a group 1-2 or 3 will be encountered, and also individuals are seen
