3 July Barrow, Alaska
Two nests were also located
along the beach ridge east of
the Neovsoge antenna. One
contained four newly hatched
young, and the other had five.
6 July Barrow, Alaska
Many birds were seen today in
the vicinity of A.A.O.S.. Both males
and females were present, but the
males were more numerous. Birds
of both sexes were malking. No
flight songs were heard.
7 July Barrow, Alaska
One flight song was heard just
north of the trapline II on the
beach ridge. The bird was not
seen, but the song was clearly
heard. P. Felton reports that he has
seen one or two birds giving their
flight song in the same vicinity
Wednesday and today. The males
seem to have lost their territoriality
for bands of 4-6 are often seen
together. When these are encountered,
