Holmes,R 1959 Calcaris lapponicus 6. 18 june Barrow, Alaska The nest in the drum area contained 5 eggs at 1000. Very little activity was noted however, several males were going through their aerial displays. 19 june Barrow, Alaska. Several pairs seen along the bear ridge and between them and the A.R. The aerial displays are still being carried on. According to the specimens collected by F.B. Some females are almost through with egg-laying while others have laid only one or two eggs. 20 june Barrow, Alaska One nest containing 5 eggs was found on the beach ridge. The female was collected and contained one egg in the oviduct. 21 june Barrow, Alaska The first nest found in the drum area still contains 5 eggs and the female is setting. Another nest was found further so. in the Drum Area and contained 4 eggs. Aerial displays and occas. chasing are still seen throughout the tundra. 22 june Barrow, Alaska The nests described above all have
