At this time the males were performing their flight songs or several were seen during the hour spent in observation. They would fly for a length of 50-75 feet and then glide to earth (substretched wings) and at the same time uttering a trilling song. 6 June Barrow, Alaska 0800-0900. Several seen in Drum area going through their flight songs. Others were noted feeding and showing no interest in broody activities 1100-1200. Several in the Vault area and adjacent tundra. 7 June Barrow, Alaska 1100-1200.- may present in the drum area. No songs were heard. Also may present in the same area at 1500. 8 June Barrow Alaska.
