Holmes, R. 1962 Nyctea scandiaca 28 may Barrow, Alaska Cade observed again in Drum area behind APL & a pair on the west side of Footprint Lake on 26may. This evening, a pair was noted west of Footprint & just south of Voth's Slough. The 8 was seen flying - suddenly landed near Dr & who was sitting on Dr snow at the edge of a 2x3' tripod polygator top. The 8 then mounted Dr & remained there for about 30 sec. - then flew off to the so. Dr & remained sitting until it flashed by. There was no sign of a nest in any of the exposed mounds in the vicinity. 30 may 18 seen so.1 The village along the creek where drums are village slough. No 8 could be found in the area. Another bird - believed to be a 8, was seen sitting on the telephone pole - between Voth & Brit H's area. 2 June 1 seen drum area 3 June 18 m Elsa-ooph Slough; 187 cc N.W. and Footprint Lake 4 June 18- a outh's Ave. - several reported from Drum Area by Mullen
