Holmes, R. 1960 Nyctea scandiaca 28 Aug Barrow, Alaska A dead juvenile (with band No 509-29660 {+1 blue color band - took mThe right? (eg) was found near Trapline XIII (10' away). This is apparently 1/7 the juw's for nest #2. About 30 feet from this bird we found The remains of a juvenile jaegar. There were several pieces: wing, jaws, 1 foot, etc.. See D. Chul, There was a large pellet (Adult) which contained a jaeger foot. It seems probable that the family group from nest #2 had moved through this area, & had killed a jaeger chick (probably not quite flying) and had eaten it there. An adult jaeger may have killed one of the owl chicks. 30 Aug A repeat (The above incident was discovered about 700 yards) NE of the trapline in The Fertility plots. The owl was also Narded, & there were the remains 1 - dead jaeger chick
