Holmes, R. 1960 Nyctea scandiaca 25. 3 August Barrow = St. Barrow 3, Alaska were visited. In certain areas lower, The part 1 c 8 Stellar, Lich, Old Squon, an Adult Pmarnis Jaugar, r 1 year chick were found. Evidently, Predation on birds is occurring even during a lemming high year. 6 August Barrow = Skroavik, Alaska Nest #10 at Skroavik was checked today. The four young were still present; The two older hood moved about 25 feet from the nest. These Chicks were weighed. Both adults were present. 8 August Barrow, Alaska Three young seen on the beach ridge near the postler. I pre- sume they were all from Nest #3. 11 Aug - One flying juvenile seen near Br. Hm's Area. There appeared to be an aluminum band on his left leg - but no color band was seen. (It may have been from lower - Semi 2 was not able to get very close).
