Holmes, R. 1960 Nyctea scandiaca 15. 2 July 2kroavik, Alester 11 weeks. It contained 5 large young + 2 small one (1 just out 1 the eggs). This completes the clutch. Now that the snow has melted, it was found that this nest is on top of a high isolated polyga (8x8' - separated by deep troughs from other polygas). There were 48 + 32 lemmings at the nest. All were fairly fresh. 3 July- A trip was made around the lake today The map below shows the birds seen #10 X 5 eggs #9 2 young beggs pr. seen XRT. about 2 mi so. 10 young
