his book toward #4. During this period
#4 was standing not more than
2 feet from #8, but he had his wings
spread "like a angel" with his book
toward her. This tail was kept down at
a normal angle it was not cocked.
3 June Barrow, Alaska
One 8 seen at N south shore of Elobel
Slough; this is in proximity to bears
ridge #3.
5 June Barrow, Alaska → Inam River, Alaska
Numerous owls + nests river formed
between Barrow & the Inam River.
The nests contained between 3+7
eggs, and at least 2 pairs were
seen copulating. See Maker's
notes for more details on nests, etc. (one
nest was found nest-to-dram--no
area which also showed goose lemming
sign.
6 June Barrow, Alaska
Nest #4 contained 7 eggs when checked
this afternoon. Nest #1 had 9 eggs.
The nest mound (#10) had only 17
dead lemmings, all of which were
marked. The 8 was present and
persisted in doing the dracula
