One male seen flying west along the
beard ridge (just S. / ATCS).
29 may. Barrow, Alaska.
One were seen near White Bear Footprint
Lake or Skovarits today. One pair was
noticed near the sand ridge where a
nest was located. It was situated
on a low piece of exposed tundra
(-this may be relatively high aft
melt off) several hundred feet
down below the ridge top. There were no
nesting materials, only a depression -
The tundra where the 7 "clutch" brown
eggs were laid. The 4 showed no
sign. A aggressiveness, as she flew
away before I even came close to
the nest. The 8 was not seen
close to the nest, but was across the
meadow lake on a low ridge... Later
she was seen to fly back towards the
meadow col.
31 may Barrow, Alaska

near the mouth of Lepail Slough.
