Holmes, R 1962 Eolia Ferniginea 17. 18 June Barros, Alaska Pair seen about 300 yards west of the justine along Beach Ridge - The white waaaaaaa - was heard at 100 yds distance. Late No. 8 chased No. 9 with The Hovendeling Tumbler-type landing assumed One punched posture - no The display activity was noted. The Pair was lost after about half an hour. I joined Pitella at the same area late in the evening. He had been watching 1 lone & 1 pair. As we stood there, One P was patrolling a ridge - 150 yds- fly low - given The Say (w. birtimo Theriot) altitud - standing upright - (but yet somewhat hunched, de droopy shoulders - not upright alert - as in Africa) - giving the cubere call what goes to head 40 yards away at the line plate. As he flew - he would fly low - Aprox. 3-4' off the ground, then rise to 12-15' - given the de-ta-ta-be + the de be descended - The cubere was giver - Up descent he would land - continue to give the where at 2-3 seconds interval After a time - On ground (see sec.)
