18 July One seen in WOA's Area and one
was noted just no. 1 Footprint lake.
They were both sitting on the perches
with no apparent activity.

Several seen noted between Skeriah
and Elma Logan during Nedar
by Lovell Douglas, Rex Prejor, and
Arnold Schutz.

One seen just No. 1 Itrova-vik lake
near The Brand West.
23 July Barrow, Alaska
One noted at S. end 1 footpt. lake are
found Nettleand and two in Waths
Area. The one at the northeast of St.
Isle was sitting on a slanting
pole which rose about 10 feet off
the ground. The female near North
Area was also atop a short pole
which made her 15 feet off the ground.
Her mate? Was about 20 yards
away, sitting on a cross bar
of a telephone pole. This is the
first time that I have seen these
birds using artificial perches?
No feeding activity was seen.
