The one at the northeast of St. Isle was sitting on a slanting pole which rose about 10 feet off the ground. The female near North Area was also atop a short pole which made her 15 feet off the ground. Her mate? Was about 20 yards away, sitting on a cross bar of a telephone pole. This is the first time that I have seen these birds using artificial perches? No feeding activity was seen.
