2 seen flying over the ridge, plot on the
west shore of Skroavik.
14 June - 1 seen along the west shore of Skroavik
22 June - 1 seen flying over the plot on the west shore
of Skroavik
30 June - 1 seen flying over the plot at Skroavik
12 July - 1 seen flying along the east shore of
Skroavik
14 July - 1 seen flying along ookepitslough (3rd
inlet on west shore of Skroavik).
24 July - Numerous birds were seen on
Deadman's Island (east of
The Pass). Only 2-3 nests
were found with eggs, but 16
chicks were seen, + 12 of these were
banded. The nests are simply
a depression in the sand among
the driftwood. The eggs are
dark greenish with dark brown
and blue spots.
26 July - 3 seen hovering over the inlet
not 17th manzanita at Skroavik.
21 July - Swell seen from the boat as
we proceeded east to Fjeldalud
Island, but none were
found nesting there.
