It circled around several times and then headed across the sort underlagoon to the N.W. 23 June Barrow, Alaska One flying and calling over the east census area. 25 June Barrow, Alaska One seen flying over the brush ridge in the vicinity of the census area. 30 June Barrow, Alaska One seen a freshwater lagoon and was soon joined by a second bird. They nested at the grotto for and then flew off. 2 July Barrow, Alaska Three seen over no. Meadows Lake flying to the N.W. 5 July Barrow, Alaska Several were seen in the company of two Alcaeus birds in the vicinity of Newwork, and are also seen at the east end of the sandspit near Newwork. Feeding activity were also seen.
