Holmes,R. 1960 Xema sabini 2. 24 July Banow, Alaska deserted nests. Several 1Pc. birds feeding were in various stages of molt. 26 July Skroavik, Alaska A pair was noted at the entrance to the main Slough into Skroavik (NE 1/2 the mangian). They were exceedingly excited, for they had 2 chicks, on 1 which was collected. They must have bred in the area, but no signs I then had seen been previously. Do young were at least a week old. 31 July Banow, Alaska A few noted near the boat as we passed decolma's Island. None were found nesting at Tupkaluk. 6 Aug Banow=Skroavik, Alaska The pair at the inlet to Skroavik were still there, and their remaining chicks are now flying. Their adults were seen along the ocean near cays on the return trip from the lake.
