24 June One seen in company with 2 long-tailed
jarigan along The Beed ridge. All 3 birds
were standing on the ground, walking back
& forth pecking at the vegetation (or in case
an old piece of newspaper). Finally a

like a clod of dirt or moss & attempted to
swallow it. The other long-t. & the parasite
both tried to take it away from the
possessor by fighting - with a tug-of-war-
like process. Finally, the 1-t. swallowed
it & all three birds flew off. - This may
have been a dead dog (emming carcass).
