RTT+ 1964 S. pomarinus 9 June Barrow, Alaska Number are decreasing - very few are ready settled + most seen are primarily in the move. No courtship or defending- type behavior has been noted in the last 7 days. 11 June No settled or defending birds along the beach ridge (north or east). - Several (8+) wandering birds hunting along the ridge. 12 June During morning along N. beach ridge - only 3 seen- 2 were moving along the ridge toward the east. The other was sitting - < stood moved on the edge of C.m. 16 June 5 scattered birds still noted - one - north side 1 central west - below 3 barrels - 1 on polygons - east of the north and 1 P. kellet's Plot. 19 June Nest with 2 eggs, 75 yds west of gasower road, 20 yds south of white tree. Both adults - light phase. 20 June Nest with 2 eggs - 200 yds west of gasoline - S. o. 1 beach ridge in low polygons and pond- dotted area. - both light phase adults. 25 June 1 nest near where Wannagin used to be at Shrewsbury + we - about 10 yrs west 1 Stellula - another pair located SEI 25.0 - but ranging over the southern end of the plot. Others along east side 1 Shrewsbury.
