RTH 1963 S. pomarini 11 june Barrow, Alaska In afternoon on white-supp sedimentary - area pair observed south 1/4 mile, Navy, east 1 medium lake - An adult seen to defend against 2 wandering birds. - Appeared not served birds as the afternoon were not attacked - but morning shows on the finder - Nest with 1 egg located 30 yds - west / north slope - hole about 1 village slope. - On polygon type - slight depression - are around some moderately- developed polygons. - 1 bird on platform for no nest 12 june NEST - West (egg) & 6. nest - 15 yds south/ float pao lagoon, 500 ft - NEast / Mag. station. On low polygon - sparsely covered with grassy edges NEST #3 - with 2 eggs + with incubating bird - 30' west of Curlew Lake - differ area staked - ie west 1/4 mph center polygons - near 87% in lagoon. Same situation as #2 - above Nest #4 - 2 egg - vic. 6 - 30 yds west / Els lagoon, 30 yds N / NW slightly - in mound with grassy arranged loosely around cup
