23 June Heron Lake, Alaska
pair while in located directly
south of the warbler's nest
near the NW corner of the plot.
The aggressive male. The pair is
especially noticeable somewhere-
over 2 approaches both birds
become highly excited & begin
dive bombing immediately. The
usually drops his feet just before
he passes by, so that there
hit against my head or hands.
He & so not quit. The aggressive,
but she will come quite close
in her dive. It has gotten to the
point now that whenever we come
out of the warbler's nest (sometimes
other birds) will fly over & start
attacking - even though we are
100 yards from the nest.

Birds were seen throughout the trip from
Barnes to Wainright. At the site in an
area of a little more than 1/2 a
square mile (actually about 3/4 sq. mi.)
