No direct evidence of area occupancy was noted. During the evening, however, in the Wohlesberg Slough & southern tidal rogy area, choosing was noted from the wing during threat given from the ground. A glimpse was obtained of a pair courting, but the birds flew off before my details could be recorded. 29 may Barrow, Alaska. Numerous birds present on The funder. Many on showing signs of occupancy as birds well spread their wings & "call" at intruders.
