Holmes, P. 1962 Phalangus fulicarius 8 June Barrow, Alaska 1st RP seen today - a flock / 5 flying south across cobbles bog slough. Five males seen flying to the south over Uth Are. A flock / nine in the evening. 9 June Many birds seen today - Nearly every pond hold a pair + mud chosing Norther Sea - 10 June May seen today - wherever there was open water. 12 June Many seen near Eisan Bluff. 14 June Many birds present - 500+ population size. 17 June Nest with 1 egg found just W. of the corner floor pond - 50 yards, NE of Wibblesby. 20 June 4 nests - found on the plot at Skroaite - 2 with 4 eggs, 1 with 2 + 1 with 1 egg. In all cases the 8 was incubating. Females found and the wanny's late in the evening, 1 with 4 some with 3 eggs - after 8:00 some of the nests were anxious to get back & settling off they were flushed. 21 June One more nest was found - NE 1 The wanny's with 4 eggs. The nest on the plot with 2 eggs - heeled 3 today; There was still only 1 egg in the other - incomplete clutch. 23 June Nest with 1 egg - near Eisan Lator - Condon Sop Area. - Both sexes present 24 June - All nests - plot checked - only 1 had 8 or more egg cell and 4 eggs - except The one - wheel steel too.
