Holmes, OR 1961 Pholampus Sulcaria. 20 June Bannu - Stewarite, Alaska See frequently - mostly paired - two seen 27° + 18°. Nesting generally seems to be well underway. 24 June Several small flocks of 4-5 seen between The base footpik slough; very few were in central marsh. 27 June A few birds were seen. At plot - inc. 2 pairs about 3 males. Nolay flocked 4-5 were noted during the trip to Stroovich. 4 July The 1st nest found (near 10.0) in FAP's plot has been destroyed. A person was found with 4 eggs - her (4.1). 7 July I seen - One plot (8°) at Stewarite no others seen today!! 9 July Now seen at the B.R. - The nest found 4 July Could not be found. 18° seen near AACS or one near Fresh lot. - No other seen anywhere - no 9&c ward, etc. 11 July 2-3° seen a pond. No. of Ooth's Area. 13 July 4-5 8° seen during today's travels to Oolepik slough - Footound Lake. No 9° seen. Nest at B.R. plot near 2.0 - gone definitely. 15 July A few single 8° + new snow group. 1-3° were seen in tundra north's area - The insect plots.
