Footprint Lake among the small
ponds and flooded regions. Most
seen were males
22 July Barrow, Alaska
A flock of 15 males was seen in the
flooded areas of the southern half of
Footprint Lake.
24 July Barrow, Alaska
Three individual males were
seen near the cott's area,
and a group of 6 were on the
beach ridge during the morning.
28 July Pitt Point, Alaska
About 6 males were seen during
the hours spent in observation
29 July Barrow, Alaska
A group of 30 was seen in the south
end of Footprint Lake. These were all males.
31 July Barrow, Alaska
None were seen in Cott's area or
in central marsh or Wohlschlegel's Loughara.
1 August Barrow, Alaska
6 were seen in the southern part of Footprint
Lake. All were molting, males. Hmm.
4 August Barrow, Alaska
Three juveniles seen in Freshwater lake.
These were collected. Saved for Medina.
